About Me and the Flour Arts Origin

Hello and Welcome! 

My name is Heather and I am the owner and baker here at Flour Arts. I am a "retired" Special Education teacher following a dream and learning how to make time for myself and family.  I'm a mom of two boys 13 and 16 of whom have a sweet tooth and passion for all things carbs. I grew up baking and cooking beside my parents and have made sure to pass the love of good food on to the boys. Baking has been a creative outlet and stress reliever for many years and 8 years ago, the Flour Arts concept was born.  

Flour Arts is a licensed homestead bakery in the state of NH. Currently I am working with a couple of local farms to provide fresh sourdough bread and bagels as well as making custom treats (cakes, cupcakes and cookies) to order. There is also a regular local pick-up that I have deemed the Saturday Bread Shop where items can be ordered and picked up at my home in Lee, NH.
